V1.2: BDR1 V33 project parsing (compatible older project backup formats) and one-shot sample editing are supported. USB transfer still requires compatible Project Transfer firmware and has not been tested on a physical FM1. The 12 global kit preset definitions are saved on the FM1 in Storage V2 and are edited from the FM1 Kit Designer, not in this Project Manager. MONOLITH is now included in the V1.0 RC5 firmware. No sample-bank upload is needed.
YOUR PROJECTS. YOUR SLOTS.
Move BEETLE BLUE BDR1 projects between your FM1 and computer. The twelve physical slots are shared with original BEETLE. Existing TRK1 slots must never be overwritten. Storage migration and marker repair are disabled in this edition.

01 / DEVICE CONNECTION USB · WEB MIDI SYSEX
USB project management requires Project Transfer V4 firmware for ownership-marker recovery (older versions still support ordinary transfers). Unmodified older firmware does not include this project protocol. Use Chrome/Edge over HTTPS or localhost, and grant MIDI SysEx access.
STORAGE OWNERSHIP
STORAGE LAYOUTNOT CHECKED
Connect the FM1 to check whether it uses the original A/B project journal or shared Storage V2.
Disabled in BEETLE BLUE: BBK1 global kit presets cannot yet be included in full backups. Ordinary per-project and sample transfers remain available.
CONNECTION DIAGNOSTICS
NOT CHECKED. Select the FM1 MIDI input and output, then press CONNECT FM1.
No data read or written.
02 / DEVICE PROJECTS 12 FLASH SLOTS · A/B JOURNAL
— / 12 OCCUPIED
Backup all occupied slots as encrypted .bdrum files in one .zip, or import them back into their ORIGINAL numbered slots. Individual IMPORT/EXPORT remains available. ZIP import checks all entries before any transfer and never silently erases missing slots.
TRANSFER0%
Select a slot. Connect your FM1 to load real project information.
03 / SELECTED SLOT PROJECT ACTIONS
01
NOT SCANNED
NO DEVICE
Export reads the full, CRC-verified project. Older project schemas are detected on the device and during import. Conversion is confirmed by you, saved by the FM1 with its current project schema, then read back and CRC-verified. A converted encrypted .bdrum backup is offered. This does not reformat a legacy flash volume. Import assigns the project to this slot. DELETE erases both A/B project banks of the selected slot so it becomes [ EMPTY ]. Requires Project Transfer V2 firmware. RECOVER with V3+ firmware can delete a damaged BEETLE-owned project that fails CRC verification. It cannot erase foreign/unrecognized flash. Recovery is destructive and may be impossible to back up.
04 / FILE FORMAT AES-256-GCM · NO PASSWORD
AUTOMATIC .BEETLE ENCRYPTION
Projects download as encrypted binary .bdrum files. They are unreadable in text editors and open automatically in the BEETLE Project Manager and compatible BLUE project tools. Each export uses a random nonce and an integrity tag. No password required.
The shared decryption key is bundled in BEETLE's public web tools. This prevents casual reading in Notepad, not determined extraction or secret storage. Older password-protected V1 backups can still be imported using their original password.
05 / GLOBAL SAMPLE LIBRARY U01–U13 · GLOBAL FM1 SAMPLE LIBRARY
MONOLITH KIT: All 16 MONOLITH drum patches are embedded in BEETLE BLUE V1.0 RC5. They do not occupy your U01–U13 user-sample slots. The global library below remains for your OWN samples.
STORAGE STATUS: This portable PC-side sample library is independent of any .bdrum project and can be synchronized to migrated BEETLE Storage V2. It supports full WAV files, replacement and deletion. FM1 device-global transfer: requires a migrated Storage V2 volume and BEETLE V1.4.22 sample transfer firmware. The FM1 and PC sample bank are separate. On connect, the FM1 sample inventory is read and displayed below; stored FM1 samples are NEVER treated as empty just because their original PC WAV is not open. Import WAV, MP3, FLAC or other browser-decodable audio: the Project Manager converts unsupported channel, sample-rate and bit-depth combinations to 22.05 kHz mono PCM16 WAV, then encodes BD4S for FM1. Long clips require confirmation before retaining the first 20 seconds. The original source file on your computer is never modified. U01–U13 are shared across all twelve projects once synchronized to a Storage V2-equipped FM1. On-device playback remains hardware-unverified. Save the original WAVs in a .beetlebank backup: the existing firmware provides sample-slot metadata, not raw WAV download. UPLOAD never deletes unspecified FM1 slots; device deletion is a separate confirmed action. The SAMPLE SPACE meter displays device-reported storage when supported; sample uploads on newer firmware protect extra capacity for project saves. Older firmware cannot report or enforce that reserve.

FM1 SAMPLE SPACENOT VERIFIED
Connect the FM1 to read the device sample storage status.
Project saves and the shared sample bank use the same physical flash. Sample storage must not consume the project reserve.
FM1 SAMPLES: NOT CONNECTED. PC WAV list below is separate from device storage.
A stored FM1 sample may display as STORED ON FM1 even when this browser has no WAV loaded for that slot. The installed firmware reports slot occupancy, size, checksum and generation but cannot send back the original WAV or its 3-character display label. Keep your .beetlebank backup. Uploads change only slots containing PC WAVs, never delete empty PC slots. Deleting an FM1 sample always requires an explicit, separate confirmation. Note: flash capacity is shared and the bar represents an estimate, not a promise that every future 12 KiB project or sample will fit.
05 / USER ONE-SHOTS U01–U13 · PROJECT-OWNED µ-LAW BANK
The first 14 drum keys retain the factory kit. U01–U13 use the remaining keyboard keys (first drum NOTE column). Samples are saved inside a V23 .bdrum project; the original 12 project flash slots are preserved. Total sample data is limited to 6144 bytes (~0.28 seconds at 22.05 kHz) and must also fit the project's 12 KiB bank.
NO PROJECT LOADED0 / 6144 BYTES
Load an exported .bdrum backup, assign WAV one-shots to U01–U13, and save a new encrypted .bdrum. Import it using the normal Project Manager workflow, or connect the FM1 to transfer here. Old V22 projects remain readable; projects containing samples use V23. Use EXPORT V22 to create a sample-free copy before downgrading to V1.3.8. The FM1 has to run the matching V1.4.1 firmware. This browser cannot increase physical flash capacity.
